Set up by Steve Helm — a professional actor and businessman with over 40 years in the audio and video industry — alongside fellow actors Bryn Towns (director & writer) and Rhys Inwood. Born out of actors who wanted to meet up, work together, and better themselves.

A Grade II-listed bank in Batley

Based just outside Leeds, West Yorkshire, our studio is housed in an old Grade II-listed bank — offices, green-screen facilities, a vocal booth and a recording studio, all under one roof. It also happens to make a brilliant location for moody, dark scenes.

Our film studios

The Acting Hub is based in Batley, just outside Leeds, and is housed in an old Grade II-listed bank that lends itself brilliantly to filming. It's the ideal place for moody, dark films, prison scenes, mobster headquarters and bank scenes — plus it has offices, green-screen facilities, a vocal booth for audio dubbing, and a recording studio, all in one location.

Our audio recording & editing studios

We have several audio and video recording studios. We're available for voice-over work and can provide male or female voice-over artists, or simply record and edit scripted work you bring in, on both an hourly and daily basis. We have professional engineers on hand, or you can use the space and provide your own — either way, someone from the team is on site at all times.

That's why we offer flexible sessions where actors can meet, train, learn, and support each other. Whether you need help with scripts, ad-libbing, self-tapes, making a showreel, teaming up to create short films, or just want to talk about the industry, we're here for you.

Who is The Acting Hub?

The Acting Hub has been set up by Steve Helm, a professional actor and businessman with over 40 years of experience in the audio and video industry, alongside Bryn Towns and Rhys Inwood, both professional actors, with Bryn also recently directing and producing a major independent film.

The Acting Hub has essentially evolved from working with like-minded actors who want to meet up, work together, and better themselves whilst having a bit of fun and socialising.

The aim is two-fold: to provide professional audio products to help actors and companies improve their performances, along with access to recording facilities, video recording and editing facilities, and opportunities to network with like-minded people and enhance actors' skills and their chances of landing roles.

The Acting Hub aims to bring people together to collaborate on self-tapes, short videos, acting experience, training, and much more.

Based just outside Leeds, West Yorkshire, we have the perfect venue for easy access and amazing facilities all under one roof.

In the near future, we aim to collaborate with various people who can help you in many ways. They will have years of experience across various roles in the film industry and will give you a better understanding of acting, filming, directing, and more.
